- Home country: Egypt -
I have always enjoyed working with my hands: painting, writing, embroidering and making jewelry. In the 90s, I studied jewlery design in New York as well as beading in Washington DC. I started to design my own jewelry and I participated in exhibitions in my home country, Egypt as well as in other places I have called home over the years.
It is in Belgium that I discovered the world of decoration on wood and I began to make boxes, plates, trays, table mats. My designs are classical, and are influenced by ancient Egyptian and traditional motifs, as well as scenes from nature, including birds and flowers, and Arabic calligraphy.
